To quickly get you started with Tela, let’s begin with some key concepts.

Prompt

Natural language applications are programs that are written in plain language, similar to the way you would instruct a capable co-worker. These instructions are known as Prompts.

A Prompt is a piece of text or an instruction that you provide to a natural language model in order to generate a specific response or output

Canvas

On Tela, each Prompt you create is related to a Canvas. The Canvas is the most important concept on Tela, as it allows you to manage the full life cycle of your natural language application.

Canvas is the fundamental unit of Tela, a place to craft, test, evaluate, and monitor your Prompts and natural language applications

Projects

All Canvases in Tela are related to a Project. Projects work like folders that hold related Canvases together in a logical organization.

Workspace

Projects live in your team’s Workspace, the exclusive environment of your organization where you will be able to manage and collaborate on initiatives

Dashboard

The first thing you will see when opening Tela, is your Dashboard. The Dashboard contains the essential information on all the Projects and Canvases that you have access to within your Workspace.

We suggest the easiest way to get started is by simply creating your first Canvas. This allows you to get familiar with Tela and its core functionalities. You can also follow this Tutorial (coming soon) for a guided approach to building your application.
